Hey everyone!

Sorry it's taken me forever to post about Gavin. He's been such a busy boy, learning to ride his bike, golf, play baseball and play with Devin the 2 year old across the street. He's such an outdoor boy! Brian bought him a real putter and Gavin has been practicing his golf swing everyday. Grandpa even took him to the putting green today.

Since I've posted last we've sold our house and moved into a new one. We're only about 2 miles down the road and have a much bigger house with more space. We'll miss the pool this summer but happy to have a back yard that Gavin can play in on his own. The little boy across the street is only 3 weeks older than Gavin so they have a blast using their "imagination" looking for cats in the bushes and playing baseball. Gavin loves his new play room and his bedroom with big boy bed with a cars themed room.

We recently just got back from a trip to Ohio to visit my parents and grandparents. Gavin had a great time and the highlight of his trip was playing with his cousins Faith and Emma! They played hard all day and when it was time to sit down and watch Toy Story(Gav's fav!) he snuggled up with Faith and wouldn't leave her alone. He followed her every move and was sad when she left him to go sit with Mimi. All he wanted to do is play with her. He was not very happy when they left the next day and took the scooter(Faiths b-day gift) with them! We got to celebrate Faith and my mom's birthday's too with a cake that my sister Kelly made. We have all the Ohio food fix we wanted and then some! It was great to see my grandparents and aunts and uncles as well during our trip to Indy and Cincinnati.

We are pooped after the trip but so glad we were able to go! Now we're ready for summer to kick in and enjoy the great weather!

Hey everyone! Guess what Gavin is 2 now:) He is so much fun and loves to talk up a storm. He loves to play on his new "red race car" that Mimi and Papa bought him for his birthday. He says he's cutting the grass on it. Too cute. Grandma and Grandpa Moore got him a cool train set that he loves to watch. Gavin is constantly singing either Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Ba Ba Black Sheep, ABC's or Old McDonald. He's good at it too! We had his birthday party at Bishops Pumpkin Farm when Mimi and Papa were out. We had Gavin's friends Colin and Reese there to enjoy the cake with! Colin was even nice enough to blow out the candles for Gavin since he was soooo shy when we sang Happy Bithday to him.

Well I'm finally coming to you with good news.....Gavin is FINALLY taking steps! He's not going too far but he's making a good attempt and he's so proud of himself when he does go far. He is so cute!

We've been busy since we've been back from Ohio. We even took a trip to the Zoo. Check out my pics!

Finally home....

Well we're back! What a trip we had too:) Gavin did pretty good on the flights and being in first class definatly made the trip much easier! We had plenty of random toys to keep him occupied and distracted. While there we got to see a lot of friends and most of our family members that we hadn't seen in a long time. The highlight of our trip was meeting my niece Emma for the first time! She is so cute and such a good baby. Of course seeing Faith and my sister was great as well! My parents were having the time of their life because seeing all 3 of their grandchildren at once was rewarding. We don't get to see everyone often so when we do it's so much fun!

Gavin definatly didn't sleep very well there so we are feeling the pain now from it! Since he was in such a strange place he would only sleep with us in the bed. Since being home we have got him to sleep in his bed but he won't sleep the whole night. It could be another rough week! Gavin changed so much over the past week too. He added a few more words into his vocabulary and even is trying to repeat a lot of the words we are saying. Tonight he learned the word "bathtub". He is so funny. Hi everyone! Merry Christmas! This holiday was so much fun for all of us and it's only going to get better. Brian, Gavin and I leave tomorrow morning for Ohio. Santa came and brought some good gifts. Gavin got tons of toys and clothes, but the biggest gift was a play kitchen set! Boy I'm pretty sure that Gavin won't play with anything as much as he does his kitchen.

Hi everyone! Well our lives have been a little hectic and crazy this month but we want to update you on a few things. Gavin has been having a few issues with being sick. The doctor determined that he has acid reflux. For the last week and a half he has been refusing bottles and eating a lot. When he does eat he usually throws it all up. So we have medicine to put in his water so hopefully that will work.

This week Gavin gets to see Santa 3 times! On Thursday Santa is going to ride down our street in his sleigh! We can't wait to sit outside and watch him as we get ready for the "real visit" on Christmas Eve! Then on Saturday and Sunday he is going to make an appearance at some friends houses where we can take pictures with him personally. That way we don't have to stand in line at the mall and hope that he doesn't scream when he sees him. Although we did go to the mall last week and he saw Santa and was so excited to see him! He acted like he's known him his whole life! Pointing and saying what seemed to be "Santa" but who knows!

We are gearing up for our visit to Ohio for Christmas. We'll be gone for a week and I'm pretty sure my dad has called me every day with an update on how much longer we have until he sees us! Hopefully we'll see lots of snow!

Hey everyone! Sorry it's been forever since you've had a good post. We're finally recovering from the whole month of Octobers' important days. I think it's pretty safe to say that they next child that comes into our world won't be born in October because we can't afford another birthday then!

Gavin is adjusting to being one now and along with that comes another doctors visit. We have a few shots that were not very fun. After a visit to the scale the doctor was concerned with his weight. Gavin weighs 19 lbs even and is almost 31 inches long. Tall and lean! He is only in the 5th percentile in his weight and 74% in his height. So he ordered some blood work to see if maybe he has some food allergies such as wheat. He is also going to check for a cow's milk allergy so we can rule out if he still needs to be on soy milk. So after the grueling shots we had to truck upstairs to get some blood drawn. OUCH!! Gavin did really good but was terrified and cried like crazy! Poor guy. So hopefully we'll find out soon why our guy is so skinny or if he's just naturally lucky!

In the meantime Gavin is just going to play with his fun toys and practice walking. I would love for him to be walking by the time we go home to Ohio for Christmas but I am doubtful. Maybe it will happen when we are home for his cousins, aunt & uncle and grandparetens to see! He just really doesn't have much of an interest!

Well since my camera is broken and everyone is asking for more posts, I thought I would write a note even without any new photos. We're working on the camera as it is in the shop being fixed.

Gavin is such a great little guy! Life is so much fun with him! He is growing up right before our eyes. He loves to play with all the fun toys that he got for his birthday including his big red wagon. We could go in the wagon everyday and he would be the happiest boy in America! Just tonight we had some friends over for dinner and he had so much fun sitting in his wagon and watching us playing Buckeye corn-hole.

Today Gavin got his first hair cut! He was in such a need for a hair cut other than the one from Daddy. We went to Jack N Jilly Beans and they did a great job! He got to sit in a red fire truck while watching Baby Eienstein and playing with a toy cell phone. How perfect for him:) He actually did MUCH better than we thought! We actually think he enjoyed it. He looks so cute too! What a great looking boy.

Soon we'll get our camera back and running and we'll be able to post more pictures.

Well we survived the first year!

I still can't believe it but our baby is one today:) It seems just like yesterday that we were bringing him home from the hospital. Since we brought him home on Halloween Day last year I remember thinking how no one would come trick or treating at our house because we had 2 storks in the yard and they probably wouldn't want to bother us. I was wrong! They still came and our little baby boy just slept in his brand new swing and slept right through his first Halloween! And now we are here celebrating his first birhday and his 2nd Halloween.

Today Gavin got to celebrate the his birthday with G & G Moore at Bishop's Pumpking farm again. He played with the cows, piggies and even got to go on a train ride! He had so much fun riding in his new red wagon around the farm. He even wore the hat that school made for him that says "I'm One". Then when I picked him up we went to the store and got some balloons to play with and went home to play with all his new birthday toys. After dinner we gave him this birthday cake and watched him play with the icing. He had so much fun! What a day!

Hey all, Gavin here! Well tomorrow is my birthday and I couldn't be happier! I am such a big boy now. In fact I even said some big words today. My mommy was talking to me this morning while getting me dressed for school and she told me that I'm a big boy now that I'm almost one. Well I decided to really show her by repeating what she said! It was clear as day and I even was impressed myself! She of course started screaming at daddy and then crying. She seems to be doing that a lot today. I just keep hearing her say, "I can't believe my baby is one" and then she said something about how could it be possible that a year ago I was only 6 lbs! I don't really understand how that's possible either so I'm gonna guess that it's not true! I also now say "Stella" which is my new kittens name. It's my 2nd favorite thing to say, of course ba, ba, ba, ba, ba is my favorite!

On Saturday my mommy an daddy invited all my friends over to celebrate my birthday! There were soooo many people here that I got scared and pretty much spent the whole party outside hanging with Mimi and Papaw and G & G Moore! It's pretty overwhelming! There I go again with big words! At one point in the party mommy put me in my "special chair" and wheeled me into the family room where all my friends and family started screaming those happy birthday words to me again. Then mommy made me stick my hands in this gooey, bright colored thing they call "the cake". I'm still not sure about it but daddy did give me a bite again tonight and it tasted pretty good. And oh the gifts! All my friends and family got me the coolest toys! I am the luckiest boy in the world!

Well I can't wait to fill you all in on the next year of my life! Time to go to bed now! Peace out! My uncle Greg taught me that, not sure what it means but he told me to say it.

Hey guys-Gavin here. You know sometimes I like to drop by and say a word or two, only when I'm serious, now's the time! On Saturday my Daddy decided that I "officially" needed a haircut. I've had a few wings snipped from time to time, but Daddy really did it this time. Unfortunately I wasn't really kosher with the idea and I turned my head and screamed causing this to happen..........I look like the guy from Dumb and Dumber with the sweet bowl hair cut! Now it just means that Mom won this argument and they have to take me to the "Salon", whatever that is?? Some body help me!

Gavin is having so much fun playing with his new toys and trucks! He plays so hard that he drools all over them! Well I guess that has a lot to do with all the teeth he has coming in at once. He has had his bottom two since he was 6 months old, but now he has 4 coming in on top. Ouch! Poor guy is drooling everywhere. But this is wonderfull because now he's more interested in finger foods. Up until the last week it's been purees and puffs for Gavin. Now he's enjoying big boy foods like chicken, grapes, bananas and rice. He even got to try some mac n cheese. He wasn't too fond of that though!

I can't believe my baby is almost one! This month! Oh no!

Update on Gavin

Hi everyone, we just wanted to give you an update on how the Moore's have been. After what seems like a million weekend trips or events we are finally settling down. Now we just have to prepare for our big October celebration month. I guess this is what we have to look forward to with children huh? Everything that could happen in our family does in the month of October. G & G Moore celebrate birthdays on the 6th & 13th, then my 30th birthday is on the 22nd, followed by Brian's on the 27th and Gavin's big 1st birthday on the 29th. Oh and I almost forgot Brian and I will be celebrating our 3rd anniversary on the 15th. Yes busy busy for us!

Gavin has been a trooper lately. He is FINALLY getting his top teeth, the only problem is he seems to be getting them all at once. So he's been a little cranky lately! He is crawling so fast all over the house and loves to chase after Stella because she is more his size. She loves it because Penelope won't play with her like that. His favorite thing to do is to secretively crawl to the cat food bowl and sneak a piece of cat food in his mouth. Once he knows that we caught him he crawls under the kitchen table to hide and laughs. Sneaky little boy! He also loves to push his trucks all over the family room floor. Yesterday he said Mom and Mama over and over again while pointing at me! He's been saying it for a while now, but never has pointed to me! I can't believe that he's going to be one year old a month from today!! Where did my little boy go?

Well she doesn't take the place of Percy but she does help with the pain of missing her! This is our new baby girl kitten who has yet to be named! She is about 5 weeks old and soooo much fun to have around the house! She runs across the floor and slides around. Her favorite toy is playing in a shopping bag and all of Gavins toys. Of course Gavin thinks it's the coolest thing to finally have a kitty smaller than he is to pick up! We are teaching him about the words "gentle" and "no" which he already thinks it's cool to shake his head when the word is said! Penelope is adjusting much better than we thought too! We still miss our Percer kitty so much though!!

Well I can't even believe that I'm sitting here writing this, but on Friday we had to make the diffult decision to put our oldest cat Percy down. She was very sick with her kidneys and kidney stones. Over the past year and half she has suffered and more recently had lost a drastic amount of weight. She was only 6 years old. I got Percy from a shelter in Columbus, Oh. when she was just 6 weeks old. She was the only one of all her brothers and sisters that actually came back and put her paws up on the cage as I put her down. Once I saw that I knew Percy was the one to adopt. We had a few good years together and she was always the mean kitty until Brian came into our lives. After that she was Brian's girl and calmed down quite a bit, especially after we adopted her sister Penelope. She and Penelope got along great and would always have fun chirping at the birds in the window sill and play fighting. This is one of the hardest things we've ever gone through. Luckily my parents happened to be in town this past weekend to help lighten our mood! We are going to get another kitty in a couple weeks to fill the void in our house and give Penelope a friend to play with. We will miss you Percy!!

Poor Gavin:( Unfortunatly our trip to Echo Lake this year was cut short. Gavin went to the doctor today with a high fever and ear infections in both ears! He cried the whole way up there and we wondered what was wrong and now we know! So after one REALLY rough night on Friday, we decided to pack up and go home for some good r & r. Glad we did because all he is doing is crying and only wants to sleep on our chests. Nice change for us for this busy 10 month old!

We are so excited to tell everyone that Emma Lilly arrived on Friday August 22nd around 3:15pm via c-section. She weighed 7lbs 11oz(same as big sister Faith!) and 21 1/2 inches long. Gavin is so excited that he has a new cousin to play with! And big sister Faith is happy saying "my baby" to Emma. Both Mommy and baby are doing well and get to go home soon. We can't wait to meet her in December!

Well another trip this summer marked off the list! Gosh we've been so busy! Chicago was a blast and it was so great seeing all our friends and family at Chad and Jena's wedding. Mimi and Peepaw came up to see us and even got to babysit Gavin while Mom and Dad were dancing up a storm with friends and G & G Moore! They had so much fun with Gavin and even took him out to dinner and got to put him to bed. Gavin was so good during the trip. Although when we got back he was so relieved to have his own bed and not have to be carried around everywhere! He did great on the plane rides, although a bit cranky on the way back. It's those early morning flights that get him every time! He got a new Baby Einstein video to watch on the plane and a few new toys! Although we found the best trick was puffs and a straw to hang onto. Weird, so every where we went in the airports we were spotted stealing straws!

Gavin was not quite the great sleeper on the trip. The first night we got there he stayed up until 1am! Which of course was only 11pm our time but still that's crazy late for someone that goes to bed at 7:30pm! Luckily each night he would go down a little bit earlier. He got to meet his new best friend Eli for the first time! He loved looking a the baby! He just loves staring at little kids and babies. Jena looked AMAZING at the wedding and seemed to have such a great time with her new husband! They are so lucky cause they got to go to Brazil for their honeymoon! They deserve a good time with everything they've been through lately.

What a great trip! Now we are so lucky because in 10 days we get to see Mimi and Pepaw Coffman again!! They are coming out to visit and see Gavin in his own enviroment for the first time since he was born. I think we are going to go to the State Fair and then do some planning for Gavin's big Halloween birthday bash! Should be fun!

We went on a couple hikes while there and got to play with all of Gavins toys! I put the picture of of him supporting the Bengals! That one is for you PePaw! 4 Days in Tahoe and I'm pooped!!

Gavin got hit first official swing ride! We had so much fun in Tahoe this weekend that we are going back again next month! Gavin had such a good time once we got out of the car and into the cabin because he's crawling now!! Crazy, scary and happy! He sometimes forgets that he can crawl but quickly remember soon when he sees Mom or Dad walk out of the room, then he comes chasing!

Well the time has come for our big boy to start crawling! He took a few "knee" steps last night for Mom & Dad! He's been on all fours for a while now and up on his arms but his darn foot gets in the way from him taking off. But last night he showed major success towards crawling. To be honest I'm not pushing it, cause once it does happen the cats are going to hate us for bringing this stranger home! Penelope is already terrified of him. He looks out all the time for the girls and when he does see them he screams and shakes his arms like crazy! What a cutie.

He is teething like crazy! He still only has his bottom two teeth and we are expecting a top one any day now. Hopefully sooner than later because it's killing him and us! He is very cranky and doesn't want to sleep. We had to lower his crib already because when we lay him down all he wants to do it sit up and play! So therfore, no sleep for Mommy and Daddy! Poor guy:(

Eating is going well these days. I'm still making all his food organic. It's just hard to find good organic produce here without driving all over town! He has had squash, both sweet potato and white potato, green beans, avocado, carrots, corn, peas, raspberries, strawberries, apricot, chicken, beef and we're about to mix some brown rice into his chicken. The list goes on and on! We are still on the soy formula :( but it's going well. We'll wait and see what the doctor says next month about trying dairy yogurt or if we have to do the soy yogurt. He has a major problem with any foods with texture so self feeding isnt going as well as I'd hoped! We tried giving him the puffs but he gags way too much on them or just likes to throw them on the floor! He does however like the teething crackers. It looks like we will be feeding him purees for a while! Which is fine by me because I love it!

On the 4th of July we went to our very first parade! You can tell by the look on Gavin's face in the pic that it was anything but exciting but we still made it fun! Then we had some friends over and had our own small firework display!

This weekend we are going to Tahoe again for a few days with Grandma & Grandpa Moore & Uncle Patrick! I can't wait to get away for a few days and relax. We are renting a house and plan on going to the beach and taking some walks. Then we get ready for our trip to Chicago soon!! Our great friends Jena and Chad are getting married and we are so excited for them to meet Gavin and see them on their big day! There is so much you have to plan and pack when traveling across the country with a little one! We are prepared this time with new toys & a DVD player with a new Baby Einstein video for the flight and a new stroller.

Auntie Mar is preggers!!

Hey all, Gavin here. I just want to tell you all how excited I am because my Auntie Marlena is going to have a new friend for me to play with!! I think that my Mommy said something about how their "peanut" and I are going to be the best of friends since she in my Mommy are too! I can't wait to find out who my new friend is! I hope they move close to us soon because my Daddy said I can't ride tri-cycle without crossing the street let alone ride all the way to San Jose! Oh what's an 8 month old to do??

Also my Mommy told me today that my girlfriend Rylee is going to have a brother or sister a few days after Auntie Mar and Uncle Mike!! I can't wait! If it's another girl I'm in big trouble cause I already think Rylee is soooo cute!! The last time I played with Rylee she had a blast pulling my socks off so I bet she'll have fun pulling the socks off of her brother or sister! Congrats Danielle and Brad! Wow I'm surprised I know how to spell Congrats!! I'm so smart:)~

And lastly, I sound so smart don't I :), Mommy and Daddy's great friends Kim and Lucas are going to have their baby girl tomorrow! I haven't met them yet but I hope to soon!! When Mommy and Daddy weren't looking last night, I saw on tv that Southwest is now flying direct to Denver for really cheap!! That means we can fly to meet Lauren Grace and see Lucas and Kim and their pooch Zoey for a good price and spend the rest of our money on TOYS!!!! I can't wait!

We had so much fun in Tahoe on our first official family vacation! We went on nature walks through the marshlands and saw all kinds of birds and fishies in the river! Gavin loved looking at the rushing water just like in his Baby Einstein video! He also discovered his love for random toys like the colander, wooden spoon and Daddy's fav when he was little, the PHONE! We even got to see a horse! As you can tell by the picture he was amazed! It was a great trip and another experience with Gavin:)

It's funny because we always play in front of the mirror at home but since this was different and mirrors were all around him, he realized that it wasn't just another boy he was looking at! So now that Gavin is a regular at the pool, we decided to put him in swimming lessons. After he discovered his love of the pool (and his crab float!) Gavin now thinks he's the coolest kid in the class! He splashes, kicks, and laughs in the pool. He's really trying to show off in front Madison, a little 10 month old girl that's in our Mom's Group! She's a cutie:) His favorite things to do other than splash is to go down the slide and to play with the water rings. Yesterday Gavin got to go completly underwater! Brian had to hold him while they both went under, and Gavin loved it. He thinks he's so cool. Oh wait he is!! Unfortunatly it's been a little on the cool side here lately so we haven't gone in our pool in a while. Maybe this weekend Gavin can show off his new talents to the cats! Gavin has been keeping us very busy as you can imagine! He is so much fun to have around! Everyday I wake up knowing how lucky we are to have such a good son. He's keeping busy by rolling, sitting & playing as much as he can! He has 2 teeth that he got on his 6 month birthday. What a big boy! We've had a lot of night's and days filled with extra doses of Tylenol and Motrin! But he's doing really well with it all. He laughs all the time especially when he sees Penelope our cat. He could watch her all day and just laugh himself to sleep. It's so cute:) We start swimming lessons tomorrow for the next 2 weeks. Gavin LOVES the pool! He especially loves his crab float. He kicks himself around the pool and laughs at himself. Here are some pics to show you what we've been up too!

Gavin's favorite things to do are laugh and sit in his high chair and look around to show off. He has tons of toys to keep him occupied between bites. He has had Squash, Bananas, Oatmeal cereal, Peas, Green beans & Pears. I am making everything organic, or at least everything but the peas because I got mad at my food mill!

This summer is going to be so much fun in the Pool! We went swimming in the pool at the hotel and Gavin loved to splash his feet and hands in the water. We are gearing up the back yard and getting the pool ready for Gavin's big debut in our pool. He also is signed up for swimming lessons in June. Should be fun!

We had so much fun on the beach! We went to Newport Beach and Gavin got to put his feet in the water and in the sand. He really didn't like it when the cold water came splashing up on his feet! He started crying and was clinging on to Brian. Poor guy! Then the next day we went to Santa Monica and walked down the boardwalk. He had so much fun in the Bjorn watching all the action and crazy beach bums. Then he went in the sand again to play which was a little better for him. Well see maybe next time when he's a little older and can make sand castles!

Trip to L.A. with Mimi and Pepaw!

We had such a fun trip with Mimi and Pepaw Coffman! On Friday we flew down to L.A. and met up for a weekend in the sun. Gavin once again did great on the plane and was so good the whole weekend. He knows he's such a cutie and smiles with everyone as they walk by! On Saturday we went to Newport Beach and put Gavin in the sand and water. He wasn't really a fan of it, but was much better when we went back to the hotel and splashed in the pool. He is going to have a blast this summer in our pool and when he takes his swimming lessons in June. Then when we went out to dinner both nights he was so so good and very happy! He is so fun to be around now. Tomorrow he will be six months old! What a big boy. Oh and this moring he woke up and I noticed that officially he cut his first tooth! He is growing to quickly! Well we are having so much fun with Gavin! It's amazing how life with him gets better and better every day. I think it was the 3 month mark and after our trip to Ohio that just changed us all. It's like we went through hell with the traveling and sickness that we both grew closer together and bonded through things that made life better! I swear I can't drive fast enough to pick him up from daycare! It's like if I miss a light I'm so mad b/c it could be seconds more with him. Poor guy he just can't kick this cold and cough. It's been 5 weeks with it and just when we think it's better, the goop comes around again!

The solids have been just OK. We tried the oatmeal cereal and he really wasn't having it too much. Then after 5 days of that we tried pears and he seemed to like them better. So next we are going to try butternut squash. I am making all his food organic and freezing them. Did I ever think in my life that I would be making my son organic foods? NEVER! But I love it so now I just have to get him into really liking the solids!

Next weekend Brian and I go to Ft. Myers, FL to visit our friends Jen and Gutmore. We are so excited! Although I'm sure that it's going to kill us to leave Gavin for a long weekend. He is going to stay at G & G Moore's house while we are gone. Now we both just have to get tans first before we leave! I am so excited about getting a full nights sleep......it's been so long.

Getting back into the real life

Hi everyone! Sorry it's been so long since we posted. I started back to work and Gavin started daycare(tear drop, tear drop)! It was really tough leaving him but I had to do it. He is at daycare 3 days a week and 2 days at Grandma and Grandpa Moore's house. He LOVES it!! The first day I picked him up he had the biggest smile and the redest eyes. I guess from too much stimulation and not enough sleep. All the girls and caretakers love him and asked to babysit him if we ever need it.

Work is going really good for me. I got promoted to another property and it's in Roseville!! I guess the deal is you go to work for 9 days then get promoted! I am so happy there. I have a great staff, we are going through a rehab and getting a brand new office, and the best part is our amazing residents. It makes leaving Gavin much easier.

Gavin got sick the very first week of daycare, go figure. He got a cold and cough then passed it on to me. I'm better but he is still battlinig it. He got his 4 month shots and managed to be really stong and tough and barely cried. He is such a good baby. We are so crazy about him but now reality is setting in that I don't get to see him much anymore and I'm going crazy when I'm with him. I love to make him laugh by tickling him. He loves to stare at Brian. He just lights up when he sees him. We are having a blast!

We get to go to Florida in a few weeks to see our good friends Ryan and Jen and Gavin is staying with G & G Moore. It should be fun and we are going to rent a boat for the day and go fishing and just cruise around in the ocean. We can't wait but will miss Gavin like crazy!! Then towards the end of April we get to fly down to L.A. and meet my parents for the weekend before they head to Palm Springs. They are really looking forward to seeing Gavin, and us too I guess! Hopefully our flight will be better than the last one!

Tahoe Fun!

We had so much fun in Tahoe with Mike and Marlena! It was Gavin's first road trip and he was amazing! He got in his snow suit and Brian and I got to do a little sledding. We also went on the beach that was filled with snow. Weird! We had some good wine and got to relax in the hot tub. It was great catching up with Mike and Marlena and we thank Aunt Lenni for letting us use her beautiful house.

Baby Eli is here! Erin gave birth to a happy little boy last Friday February 8th at 3:42 pm. He was a big guy weighing in at 10 lbs 4 oz and 21 inches! We are so happy for her and Julio and can't wait for them to share such a beautiful life with their new love. We also are anticipating to see him for the first time in August at Jena and Chads wedding in Chicago:) Congrats to the love birds Erin and Julio! You will be great parents to the little guy:)

We're going to the SNOW!

We are so excited today because we are going to Tahoe for the weekend! Mike and Marlena have invited us to stay with them at her Aunt's house on the North Shore. We can't wait to take pictures with Gavin in the snow. This will also be our first road trip with him so hopefully he sleeps the whole way up. We only have plans to lounge around and watch TV, go in the hot tub, and drink some good wine! As well as hang out with our good friends Mike and Marlena. We'll let you know how it goes!

Gavin rolled over!

Yesterday was a big day for us because Gavin rolled over for the first time at only 3 months! He was laying on his mat as Brian and I were just sitting watching him and all of a sudden he rolled over from his tummy to his back! This is a huge milestone for him to go through. It seems as though since going through our crazy trip to Ohio and turning 3 months this past week he has matured and blossomed into a big boy:) He cries differently, he is calm, takes a pacy now, see's more and at longer distances, and now rolling over, what's next?? I am so excited for him to learn how to roll from his back to his tummy, but at the same time then I can't swaddle him anymore at night which will give him and us no sleep!

Tonight we went over to a girls house that is in my Mom's group for the Super Bowl. It was a fun and a great time for all the Mom's husbands to meet for the first time. It was great seeing all the Dad's meeting and now knowing who these wonderful girls and their babies are that we have been spending so much time with! And it was an excuse to have some wings and beer with:)

This week I get to have a long day of nap time because I'm taking Gavin over to Ron and Pat's to play! I am in desperate need of sleep because since Gavin has started taking his pacy, he spits it out at night and then cries when it's gone, causing me no sleep! Oh I created a terror with this pacifier. However that's why it's so great having such great family in town to help me catch up with sleep:)

Daddy comes home today!

Gavin and I are so excited because Daddy is coming home today! Brian has been gone in LA all week for work and will be home this afternoon. We haven't seen him since last Tuesday morning when we left for Ohio. I sure hope Gavin remembers him! He just loves to stare at his Daddy, probably because he knows he's looking pretty much into a mirror! All our family said when we were at home that Brian already was there cause looking at Gavin is like looking at Brian! I agree:) Now we can only hope for those cute little blonde curls like Brian had when he was a baby!

We came, we saw, we barfed!

Wow what a week! Well we're back from Ohio and it quite possibly could have been the worst, yet best week ever. It started with an awful day of travel last Tuesday. Our flight left early morning and we were set to arrive in Dayton at 6pm. Well we sat on the plane for over an hour which then meant that we would miss our connecting flight in Minnestoa. Gavin's ears did good with going up and down but was a little fussy cause he didn't get his morning nap. Luckily once we got to MN they had already re-booked our flight but one problem, it didn't leave for another 4 hours! Since Kelly had dropped off her car seat and stroller with my Mom, we didn't bring anything with us to the airport. So Gavin was in the carrier strapped to me. Bad luck when your stuck in an airport with an infant that has had no sleep! Gavin was ok until about 30 mins before our flight left when he screamed in front of the whole terminal causing me to break down in tears too! I couldn't get him to calm down. Luckily once we got on the plane everyone was really nice to me giving me the reasurance that they understand that babies do cry. When we sat down, the lady behind us plopped her 10 month old baby right in front of Gavin and he immediatly stopped crying and just stared at the little guy! It was amazing! I calmed down too and Gavin finally fell asleep for the rest of the flight. Grandpa Coffman was there to greet us with a huge smile! Needless to say Gavin slept really good that night:)

Then the next day we got a visit from Aunt Kelly and Cousin Faith! Faith loved meeting her only cousin and kept saying "baby" the whole day. We had a day of fun with Faith and Kelly. She learned how to say Mimi that day and was sure to use that word all day. She is so cute and such a big girl now! Later that night was when the horror began. Gavin must have caught a bug on the plane and started throwing up all night. It was awful as this was his first time sick. It lasted for about 36 hours with lots of sleep for him and little sleep for me! I was so excited to go to go to my parents home and get plenty of naps during the week, but that was done away when Gavin got sick. Then don't you know, soon after everyone caught the bug too! First started with my Dad, then me a little, then my Mom, Faith and then Pat! Oh we could have done away with this part of the trip! Poor Mom got it on the day of our "Open House" and Pat got it the morning we flew back home! Little Faith had it just the same as Gavin did. AWFUL! We are home now and recovering well.

Also during the stress of the "plague" my milk supply dropped drasticly causing me to have to give Gavin formula for the first time. I have worked really hard to not have to give him formula and so I found myself walking down the formula isle at CVS. Luckily he didn't have to have much of it and it turns out he wasn't very good on it anyway cause he barfed up what seemed like the whole bottle as I put him in his carseat to go to the airport! Not to mention the smelly formula poop a few days later! It was a very emotional time for me and we did it all without Brian! He was in L.A. this week for work.

However, we made it and it was amazing seeing all my family and introducing them to Gavin for the first time. We also got to see my friends from home and catch up for a bit while eating BW3's! It was an experience to say the least! We are glad to be home and anticipating Brian's arrival later today.

Check out the "winter coat" or should I say wooly blanket that my kid is stuffed into! Brian got Gavin this before he was born in case we run across some cold weather here but instead we will use it for the cold weather in Ohio! Oh this poor kid can't even move his arms! It even has a hole in it so you can buckle him into his car seat! Hey at least he got a little kick out of it! For some reason he thought it was a joke too and started laughing with us:)

He certainly won't get cold next week when it's supposed to be in the 20's! Maybe we will get to see that snow we wanted! Just had to show you also how cute he is in his new baseball cap. He loves wearing it!

It's almost time for Gavin to make his first appearance in Ohio:) We leave in 1 week 1/2 so I have been busy trying to get all the gear ready to make our flying time with Gavin as easy as possible. Gavin's (and mine) whole schedule has changed since he has decided not to nurse anymore. So why not add in a 3 hour time difference to add confusion to him! He has new bottles, nipples and is eating more due to having easy access to all the milk he wants in a bottle. Hopefully everything goes well at our time at the airport and in the air.

Well unfortunatly the Buckeyes didn't win but Gavin sure did have fun dressing up like a crazy nut! We had a few people over to watch the game. We had high hopes for Gavins first championship title with Ohio State but the fell short. However we had fun!

Gavin went to his Grandparents today so we could go see Juno. It is very cute! I highly recommend it. And now it's almost bedtime so we gotta go!

Shot time... No not the "good" shot kind

Well yesterday Gavin got his very first shots :( Very sad. It was bad but nothing out of the ordinary of what to expect in shots. He screamed, then held his breath while screaming, then the tears came. Oh then my tears came. But then Brian talked to him an calmed him down with his deep soothing voice and then Gavin slept pretty much the rest of the day. That is until 3pm when he woke up screaming bloody murder because his legs hurt and the Tylenol wore off. He screamed for and 1hr 15 mins strait and the choking kind of cry too! AWFUL! I ended up calling Brian and made him come home from work and then called the doctor. By the time Brian came home and the doctor called me back he had finally wore himself out and crashed in my arms. So it was nonstop Tylenol until about 5:30 tonight.

Then today he slept all day again and through the crazy storms too. We had some serious rain and winds today and all day! The winds were over 40 mph with gust around 50 mph. Our fence fell over, trash can in the pool and the neighbors tiki hut bar thingy is about to crash on the other side of the fence!

The picture above is a mild version of what Gavin looked like yesterday when he was screaming his head off because he was in so much pain. Poor baby, so sorry we made you get the shots :( But on a good note he is 23 inches long and weighs 11 lbs 6 oz at 9 weeks old. He is in the 50th percentile for his age group. Right on track Bubby!

I can't believe Christmas is already over and it's almost new years eve! Well in a few days I guess! Christmas was really fun this year with Gavin here. We decided to open our gifts on xmas eve so we could take our time with Gavin. So we had dinner at Ron and Pats on xmas eve then came home and opened all our gifts. Gavin got tons of clothes from Santa and mom and dad, I got 2 really amazing purses, and Brian got a really cool watch and jacket. Then on xmas morning we went over to Ron and Pats again for a wonderful breakfast and to open presents. I got a baby book from Gram so we can start recording memories of Gavin's life so far! So it was a wonderful Christmas this year and especially wonderful to share it with Gavin!

Yesterday we loaded up our car(or maybe the whole house) and brought it all over to Ron and Pats for them to watch Gavin for the night while Brian and I went to Napa! We got to visit several vineyards like the olden days, and then stayed at a wonderful hotel in Yountville. We had an amazing dinner followed by a great night of uninterrupted sleep! Well maybe for Brian- I woke up still every 2 hours! I guess I will never sleep well again! We visited a few new vineyards and some that we have been to before. It truly was a great time away with just the two of us! Gavin did well with Grandma and Grandpa and Uncle Patricks help. I think he had a lot of fun!

We are thinking of going up to see the snow over the next few days. I am dying to see all the beautiful powder and have Gavin take his first "dips" in the snow. He can't walk so it will just have to be dips! I really hope that when we come home to Ohio in January there will be snow. I know Pat is not hoping for it but Gavin and I are!

What a difference a few weeks makes for his hair! The first picture was taken last week and the bottom one was taken probably around 4 weeks! He lost all his hair! But now it's growing back and looks a lot lighter too!
